I can ship seafood?
Yes!! Groomer’s Seafood now offers overnight shipping anywhere in the Continental United States!

What’s the shipping cost?
With the amount of seafood we ship, we get negotiated pricing on shipping and packaging that we pass on to you! You can see how much the shipping is on your package before you check out. Each seafood order is packed to be kept nice and cold during it's trip in a insulated box!

When will I receive my seafood?
All of our perishable packages are shipped overnight. Packages will be at your door the next day assuming there is no delay with our incoming fresh products, or with our shippers service. Our shipping hours each day are Monday through Friday until 2 p.m. central time.

When do I need to place my order?
Orders placed by 2.p.m. central time Monday through Friday will be shipped that day. Any order placed after the cut off time will be shipped the next shipping day. We do not ship on Saturdays, or Sundays. In certain areas, Saturday shipping may have a higher rate than normal weekday shipping rates.

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?
No, but we can ship to both residential and business addresses! 

What if you are sold out of the product I order?
While we will do our best to ensure that the items we have up will be in stock, there is always the chance of us running out of a certain product. Should this occur, we will contact you via email to see how to best proceed. If we are unable to contact you, we will ship as soon as the product is available. 

Is the fish I’m getting fresh or frozen?
What’s fresh is shipped fresh and what’s frozen is shipped frozen, the latter may arrive thawed but our boxes will keep it cold. All product received should be 40 degrees Fahrenheit or less. Each item will indicate on the description whether it is fresh or frozen.

How much will my seafood weigh?
Our Fishmongers will do their very best to get as close to the desired weight at possible. If anything we aim to over cut rather than short you on the weight. You will not be charged for anything over the weight you ordered. 


How long does the seafood keep in the fridge/freezer?
When you receive your order, take your fish out of the bags they come in and rinse them in cool running water. Next, decide what you will use in the next two days and keep in a bag in the fridge. Whatever will not be eaten in that time should be frozen in a freezer bag with just a little bit of water to make a glaze over them. Anything that comes in thawed out should not be refrozen as it will damage the quality of the item.

What if my order is incorrect?
If you receive the wrong order, something is missing, or if you are not satisfied with the quality give us a call at 210-377-0951 or send us an email at fishmongers@groomerseafood.com within 48 hours so we can make things right for you.
